Born in 1979, she is based in Utrecht, in The Netherlands.

Her work materializes the effect technology has on our mental landscapes, our perception and our projections.

Rappard has been mainly creating large size drawings that function almost like an environment into which the viewer is sucked in, as when we are in front of a screen or scrolling the internet.

However, the soft texture of the drawing and its pastel colours changes this experience and provides a different kind of immersion.

How can art render experiences? What are digital experiences and thoughts? Are we enhanced? Are we diminished? These are the questions the artist leaves us with through her soft and inquisitive art.
